EXPERT TOOL

The App enables the assessor to carry out professional and compliant PUWER or UWED assessments for single or multiple machines. Working through the PUWER Regulations 1-24 ACOP L22 (ACOP L112 Regulations 31-34 for Power Presses also an option) or UWED Articles 1-9 & Annex 1, the App follows the guidance from ISO 12100 (Safety of Machinery – General principles for design – risk assessment and risk reduction) and allows the user to carry out a Risk Assessment utilising the Hazard Rating Numbering system (HRN). This ensures that every aspect is covered in a tried and tested order - and nothing is accidentally left unchecked.

ACTIONABLE REPORTS

The App generates a comprehensive report for each assessment including a high-level summary in PDF format and an ‘action-required’ checklist in Excel format. Each report is logged to the individual assessor and time stamped for traceability. The report is stored on a secure server* accessible via the App. Company specific data is also stored on the server to be easily incorporated in new reports. Existing reports can be shared, replicated and edited via the App.

FLEXIBLE LICENCE

Once the App is downloaded, a registration button leads to the portal to create a BASE ACCOUNT and password. The free BASE ACCOUNT includes limited access to demonstrate the functionality of the App. A paid STANDARD licence is only required when carrying out either PUWER or UWED assessments and creating new or edited reports. 3/6/12 month STANDARD licences can be purchased via the App Store or by contacting Pilz whenever required.
br If the licence is not renewed, reports and Company specific data will be retained and accessible in the BASE ACCOUNT for 1 year following the missed renewal date. STANDARD can be reinstated by purchasing a new licence within the year.

FULLY SUPPORTED

Pilz Machinery Safety Experts are actively involved in the creation of standards and legislation and are thus always up to speed with any changes. The App will be updated accordingly. App Technical Support is available 24/7. The App is intuitive, however if training for correct use is required, this is available on request. If you need to boost your know-how prior to completing reports, or just need a helping hand, PUWER, UWED and Risk Assessment training and support or shadow consultancy is available and chargeable separately from Pilz.
